Tiny and the Ice Age Rescue
Tiny the woolly raptor loved the snowy forest. Her white fur kept her warm. She hopped through the snow. Her tiny claws made little prints. The trees were covered in ice. They sparkled in the sun. Tiny sniffed the cold air. It smelled fresh and clean. She heard a soft chirping sound. It came from a frozen bush. Tiny peeked inside. A baby ice runner was stuck! Its blue feathers were tangled in the ice. The little dinosaur looked scared. Tiny knew she had to help. She carefully bit the ice. It was hard and cold. The baby chirped again. Tiny worked faster. She wanted to free her new friend. The sun began to set. The forest grew darker. Tiny knew they had to hurry. She gave one last big bite. The ice cracked! The baby ice runner wiggled free. It chirped happily and nuzzled Tiny. But then, a loud rumble shook the ground. Tiny looked up. A huge glacier was sliding down the mountain! The baby ice runner froze in fear. Tiny knew they had to run. She grabbed the baby gently in her mouth. They dashed through the snowy trees. The glacier was getting closer. Tiny's heart pounded. She had to find a safe place fast!
Tiny ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. The baby ice runner clung tightly to her fur. The glacier rumbled behind them. Snow and ice tumbled down the mountain. Tiny’s breath came out in little puffs of steam. She spotted a cave up ahead. It was hidden behind a frozen waterfall. Tiny darted toward it. She slipped on the icy ground but kept going. The cave was small and dark. Tiny squeezed inside. She set the baby ice runner down gently. The little dinosaur chirped softly. Tiny peeked out of the cave. The glacier was still moving. It sent chunks of ice flying everywhere. Tiny knew they couldn’t stay here forever. The cave was too small for both of them. She looked around for another way out. The baby ice runner nudged her. It pointed with its tiny claw. There was a narrow tunnel at the back of the cave. Tiny sniffed the air. It smelled cold but safe. She turned to the baby. 'We have to go through there,' she said. The baby nodded bravely. Tiny led the way. The tunnel was dark and slippery. Ice crystals sparkled on the walls. Tiny’s claws clicked on the frozen floor. The baby followed close behind. They walked for what felt like forever. Finally, they saw light ahead. Tiny’s heart leaped. But when they reached the end, they stopped. The tunnel opened to a steep cliff. Below was a frozen river. The glacier was still rumbling behind them. Tiny looked at the baby. 'We have to jump,' she said. The baby chirped nervously. Tiny took a deep breath. She grabbed the baby gently in her mouth again. They leaped into the cold air!
Tiny and the baby ice runner landed with a soft thud on the frozen river. The ice held, but it creaked under their weight. Tiny’s heart pounded. She looked around quickly. The glacier was still sliding down the mountain. Chunks of ice crashed into the river. Tiny knew they had to move fast. She set the baby down gently. 'We have to be careful,' she said. The ice was slippery and cold. Tiny’s claws helped her grip, but the baby ice runner kept slipping. Its tiny claws scratched at the ice. Tiny nuzzled it with her nose. 'Hold onto me,' she said. The baby climbed onto her back. Tiny began to run. The river stretched far ahead. It was surrounded by tall icy cliffs. Tiny’s paws padded softly on the ice. She heard a loud crack. A piece of ice broke off behind them. Tiny ran faster. The baby chirped in fear. 'We’re almost there,' Tiny said, though she wasn’t sure. Suddenly, she saw something ahead. It was a snow digger, a friendly dinosaur with big, shovel-like claws. The snow digger waved at them. 'Over here!' it called. Tiny felt a spark of hope. She raced toward the snow digger. But then, the ice cracked again. This time, it was right under them! Tiny skidded to a stop. The baby ice runner clung tightly to her fur. The ice beneath them began to sink. Tiny looked around desperately. The snow digger was too far to help. The glacier roared in the distance. Tiny took a deep breath. 'When I say go, run to the snow digger,' she told the baby. The baby chirped nervously. Tiny took three steps back. 'Go!' she said. The baby leaped off her back and slid across the ice. Tiny jumped after it. They skidded to the edge of the cracked ice. The snow digger reached out and pulled them to safety. But Tiny didn’t have time to rest. The glacier was still coming. 'We need to get to higher ground,' the snow digger said. 'Follow me!' Tiny and the baby ice runner followed the snow digger. They climbed up a snowy path. The glacier was getting closer. Tiny looked back. The river was disappearing under the ice. She knew they weren’t safe yet. The snow digger led them to a steep hill. 'We have to climb this,' it said. Tiny looked up. The hill was covered in deep snow. The glacier rumbled behind them. There was no time to waste.
The snowy hill was steep and slippery. Tiny’s claws dug into the snow as she climbed. The baby ice runner clung to her back. The snow digger led the way, using its big claws to clear a path. The glacier rumbled behind them. Tiny could feel the ground shaking. She looked back. The river was now completely covered in ice. The glacier was getting closer. Tiny’s legs were tired, but she kept going. The baby ice runner chirped softly. 'We’re almost there,' Tiny said, trying to sound brave. The snow digger reached the top of the hill first. It turned and called down, 'Hurry! You can do it!' Tiny took a deep breath. She pushed herself up the last few steps. The baby ice runner jumped off her back and chirped happily. They were safe! Tiny looked down the hill. The glacier had stopped at the base. It was a wall of ice and snow. Tiny shivered. 'That was close,' she said. The snow digger nodded. 'You were very brave,' it said. The baby ice runner nuzzled Tiny. 'Thank you for saving me,' it chirped. Tiny smiled. 'I couldn’t leave you behind,' she said. The snow digger pointed to a path. 'This way leads to the warm valley,' it said. 'It’s safe there.' Tiny and the baby ice runner followed the snow digger. The path was easier now. The snow was softer, and the air felt warmer. Tiny’s fur was still cold, but she felt happy. She had made a new friend and helped someone in need. The baby ice runner walked beside her, chirping happily. The snow digger led them to the edge of the valley. It was a beautiful place. The sun shone brightly, and the snow sparkled. Tiny could see other dinosaurs playing in the distance. The baby ice runner chirped excitedly. 'This is my home!' it said. Tiny smiled. 'I’m glad you’re safe,' she said. The baby ice runner nuzzled her again. 'Will you stay with us?' it asked. Tiny looked around. The valley was warm and friendly. She nodded. 'I’d like that,' she said. The snow digger smiled. 'You’re always welcome here,' it said. Tiny felt a warm glow in her heart. She had found a new home and new friends. The adventure had been scary, but it had brought her to a happy place. She looked at the baby ice runner and the snow digger. 'Thank you for everything,' she said. They smiled back. Together, they walked into the warm valley, ready for new adventures.
