Privacy Policy

Glimmi is an app and website (glimmi.app) that applies photo effects. It is operated by Yakup Hakan Bayramoğlu, an individual developer based in Türkiye ("we"). Questions: support@glimmi.app.

What we collect

• Photos you choose for an AI effect, and the resulting images.
• An anonymous account identifier, created automatically. We do not ask for your name or phone number.
• Your email address, only if you choose to save your account on the website. We use it only to send you sign-in codes; the emails are delivered by Resend (Resend, Inc., USA).
• A random device identifier, stored on your device, used only to limit the free trial to one per device.
• Credit and purchase status: which plan or credit pack you bought, your credit balance and a record of each effect you ran (effect, time, status). In the iOS app, payments are handled by Apple and subscription status reaches us through RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. On the website, payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates), which tells us what you bought. We never see your card details.
• Reports you send about a result.

We do not show ads, do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and do not sell or share your data for marketing.

How your photos are processed

A photo you choose for an AI effect is uploaded to our server (Supabase) only after you agree: in the iOS app on a permission screen, on the website by picking the photo under a notice that names these providers. It is sent to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C., USA) and, as a backup, to fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc., USA), to create the effect. The photo is used only to produce the effect you selected.

• The uploaded photo is deleted from our server as soon as processing ends (at the latest within 1 day).
• The result is kept for 7 days so you can view it in the Gallery, then deleted automatically.
• The Filters tab works entirely on your device. Those photos are never uploaded.

In the iOS app you can withdraw the AI permission at any time in Settings. Without it, AI effects are not available; filters still work.

Legal bases

We process photos on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); KVKK Art. 5), and your email address, purchase and credit records to provide the service you requested (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)). Our providers are located in the United States; transfers rely on your explicit consent and the providers' contractual safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Uploaded photos: deleted after processing. Results: 7 days. Account, credit and purchase records: until you delete your data. Settings → Delete my data immediately removes your photos, results, records and account. Apple and Stripe keep their own purchase records. To stop a subscription, cancel it in your Apple ID settings (iOS) or in Settings → Manage subscription (website).

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing by writing to support@glimmi.app. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye: Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).

Children

Glimmi is not intended for children under 13. Only upload photos of yourself or of people who agreed to it.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
